Hello! I am currently a high-school senior, but I have been taking college classes at a community college for the past two years. I have only recently decided what I would like to major in, so unfortunately not all of my 62 credits will count towards a degree. However, I am hoping that some, at least, will. I know that if I earned a C or better in a class from a regionally accredited college that the credits themselves should transfer, but I would like to know if the classes themselves will count.  Could you tell me which, if any, of these classes would count towards a Social Work degree, at least as electives, or possibly as required electives?

 Biology 151: General Biology
English 161 and 162: College Composition
History 161 and 162: United States History
 History 151: Civilization I
 History 176: Ohio History
Political Science 156: American National Government
 Economics 151: Macroeconomics
Administative Office Information Systems (AOIS) 110: Keyboarding on the Computer
 French 151: Elementary French
 Mathematics 151: College Mathematics

Thank you so much for any and all help.

Sincerely,
 Stephanie Caywood

Hey Stephanie!

I am transfering to Cedarville and I'm in my second year of college. During my first quarter of college I have e-mailed karisa about every class that I could and should take before I get to Cedarville and she has been amazing. Get her e-mail and she's really good at replying back. I hope everything works out for you!

Hi Stephanie,

Thank you for your inquiry!  We will accept your credits as long as the courses are college-level and your grades are above a "C."  Of those you listed, the following will help you toward our Social Work major.  All of the other ones will count as electives.

 Biology 151: General Biology
English 161 and 162: College Composition
Political Science 156: American National Government
 Economics 151: Macroeconomics
 Mathematics 151: College Mathematics

Please be sure to have official transcripts sent to Cedarville upon completion of the course work.

Thanks!

Hello, Karisa!

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this forum. Thank you so much for replying; your information was very helpful. I have been accepted into Cedarville and plan to come this fall, so I look forward to working with you and the rest of the Cedarville staff.

 Thank you once again!

      In Him,

      Stephanie
