My son is only a freshman in HS this year, but we are already looking at colleges, and CU is high on the list. We have read the Statement of Faith, and have no problem with it except for the "Spiritual Gifts have Ceased" part. We are Charismatic, and although it is not a make or break issue for us (we would have no problem with our son attending CU) I wanted to see if it is a make or break issue for CU. Would my son's belief in the current working of Spiritual Gifts (tongues) be a roadblock to attending CU? We do not believe that Gifts are required for salvation or anything, but wondered how the University had handled this in the past. Thanks!

This is a great question and the answer would be easiest to explain over the phone. I'd love to talk with you about it if you want to call. You can call 1-800-CEDARVILLE and ask to speak with Scott, I'm one of the Associate Director's in admissions. Thank you again for your interest in Cedarville.
