I am planning on attending Cedarville for the fall 2009 semester of school. Because I am currently in the military, I will be receiving the Post 9/11 MGI bill and I am also planning on being in the Ohio guard which will also contribute to my tuition. By my calculations, I will be receiving about $18,000-$22,000 a year, for tuition. The Post-9/11 GI Bill has an additional program called the Yellow Ribbon Program which will ask Cedarville to come to some sort of agreement, with the local Veterans Assistance office, on the basic costs. The way it is addressed on the MGI Bill website (www.gibill2.va.gov/) is that they are willing to match whatever Cedarville would be willing to give as scholarship/tuition forgiveness. My question is would Cedarville be willing to negotiate with this program for some of the costs or should I just assume that I'm going to need to apply for some scholarships/loans to help cover the remaining costs?
