I just remembered I can reach out to fellow CU alums and see if ya'll have any contacts to help me switch jobs!
I've lived in Denver for 2 1/2 years now and am wanting to switch my current career and get in to a new field. I know the best way is through networking and people you know. So, if any one is able to help, please contact me at johnsons033107@gmail.com.
I graduated Dec '04 with a major in International Studies, having focused on Japanese and Spanish at a previous university. Currently I'm working at a moving company as head of their corporate accounts. I'm not interested in staying in the moving industry and am open to exploring new ideas. These may be in the international arena, or in any arena in the capacity of an executive secretary. I've learned that I'm very efficient and get things completed quicker than others. When I had an emergency appendectomy, it took 4 people to do my job. I don't say that to brag, but rather to show that I can handle a lot and am a quicker learner.
I'd prefer to stay in the Denver/Colorado Springs area (I live in Castle Rock with my husband).
If any one has any contacts or ideas, I would greatly appreciate them! Thanks so much.

I checked the Focus on the Family web site.  Focus is right there near Castle Rock.  They do have a job openings listing on their web site.  It looks to me like they have quite a few openings in various departments.  There are some in the financial area and some in advertising and some having to do with their magazies,  I  don't know if there would be anything you are interested in or not, but it might be worth a look.
My name is Alice McGhee ('70).  My husband, Ken, and I are on the CU chapter committee and live in Littleton.  Feel free to contact us if we can be of any help.  On of the guys from our church works at Focus and just loves it there.  He lives in Castle Rock and commutes to Littleton to attend church where we go - Foothills Bible Church.  Our home phone is 303-948-5720.  My cell is 303-947-0868.
Hope you find something that is just the right fit for you.
In Christ,
 Alice McGhee

I just remembered to look on here for help finding jobs too. My wife and I just moved to the Denver area (Lakewood basically) and I am looking for an electrical engineering job. I know there are a lot of opportunities, but a lot of them can only be found if you know someone. Anyway, just thought I'd give this a try. Let me know if you're aware of anything. Thanks! Hi,

I am a senior mechanical engineer at Cedarville University this year.  I am looking for a mechanical engineering job in CO after I graduate in May (I am particularly interested in machine design and solid mechanics, if that means anything to you;-).  I was wondering if you knew of any opportunities out that way.  I am an avid rock climber so anywhere near the mountains would be great.  I liked the C. Springs and Boulder areas when I was passing through this summer and a few years ago.  Do you have any recomendations on places to look for jobs or good places to live? Please email me on my cedarville account (my posting name)@cedarville.edu

Stephen

Hi Stephan, My husband works at an engineering company in Ft. Collins (but we live near Boulder). I will pass on this information to him and let you know.

Hello again, Stephen. This message is from my husband, "That is just the kind of person that our ME's want. We don't have any openings right now, but we might by then." Jason does a lot of the hiring. He didn't go to Cedarville, but knows the quality of people that Cedarville produces. The name of the company is Pelco. You can email him at Jason@heddings.com if needed. ~Erica Linafelter Heddings '03(erica@heddings.com)
