I noticed the new business scholarship today. I would like to be considered for it, but I just want to know how I might change my major or if it doesn't matter until all of my courses have been decided, etc. I haven't really "accepted" Cedarville yet.
I am planning on attending Cedarville for the fall 2009 semester of school. Because I am currently in the military, I will be receiving the Post 9/11 MGI bill and I am also planning on being in the Ohio guard which will also contribute to my tuition. By my calculations, I will be receiving about $18,000-$22,000 a year, for tuition. The Post-9/11 GI Bill has an additional program called the Yellow Ribbon Program which will ask Cedarville to come to some sort of agreement, with the local Veterans Assistance office, on the basic costs. The way it is addressed on the MGI Bill website (www.gibill2.va.gov/) is that they are willing to match whatever Cedarville would be willing to give as scholarship/tuition forgiveness. My question is would Cedarville be willing to negotiate with this program for some of the costs or should I just assume that I'm going to need to apply for some scholarships/loans to help cover the remaining costs?

I regularly play airsoft up here in MI where I live, but according to the handbook they would probably fall under the "bb guns" regulations. If you haven't heard of/seen airsoft, it's basically a military simulation version of paintball that uses more realistic guns that fire 6mm plastic bbs. Face and eye protection is always worn and usually heavy outer clothing. Of course play on-campus would not be allowed, but in asking around and making some calls I discovered several places in the area that regularly host games. So my question is: since special accommodation's are made for paintball guns and hunting weapons, is there a way to bring my airsoft guns to college and have them stored in the same way?

Hi,

I have sent in my reservation deposit for Fall 2008 and have submitted my dorm request a couple weeks ago. In the request I picked 1)McChesney and 2) Lawlor. I was wondering if it might be possible to to switch the two (my top pick would be Lawlor and second pick would be McChesney). If I am correct Lawlor is generally considered a freshman dorm so I was thinking that might be better. I am not sure if it is too late, or if it would create a bunch of confusion, but I was just wondering if that is a possibility at all? And if so, how I might go about doing that?

Thanks,
Will Kelly

My son is only a freshman in HS this year, but we are already looking at colleges, and CU is high on the list. We have read the Statement of Faith, and have no problem with it except for the "Spiritual Gifts have Ceased" part. We are Charismatic, and although it is not a make or break issue for us (we would have no problem with our son attending CU) I wanted to see if it is a make or break issue for CU.

Would my son's belief in the current working of Spiritual Gifts (tongues) be a roadblock to attending CU? We do not believe that Gifts are required for salvation or anything, but wondered how the University had handled this in the past.

Thanks!

I applied for Cedarville a while ago and I recieved a letter saying that my application was approved, does that mean the same thing as being accepted? I also recieved a Financial Aid letter and booklet a couple weeks ago, so that made me think that I might have been accepted, but I'd thought I would ask.

Hi,
I am seriously considering applying to Cedarville and would begin in fall of 2008. I have heard so many wonderful things about the school and love how there is a strong focus on ministry and commitment to academic quality.
If I were to apply for admission and got accepted how long would I have to decide whether or not I would attend Cedarville? From what I understand, Cedarville accepts students as they apply and not all on one date. Some other schools that I am considering applying to don't get back to applicants until March, so I may not be able to give Cedarville an answer until then. Would it be best to wait to apply until it gets closer to when I would be able to make a decision, or should I just go ahead and do it now? Thank you so much.
In Christ,
Liz
