I need all the financial aid assitance that I can recieve, paying for school is not easy and I would like to try and avoid being in debt up to my eyeballs when I graduate. Are there any suggestions as to how I can find and apply for even more financial aid than I already am? I'm on 4 or 5 different scholarship sites such as fastweb. But I feel that those sites are unlikely because so many people around the world apply on them. Any help would be very much appreciated

I am planning on attending Cedarville for the fall 2009 semester of school. Because I am currently in the military, I will be receiving the Post 9/11 MGI bill and I am also planning on being in the Ohio guard which will also contribute to my tuition. By my calculations, I will be receiving about $18,000-$22,000 a year, for tuition. The Post-9/11 GI Bill has an additional program called the Yellow Ribbon Program which will ask Cedarville to come to some sort of agreement, with the local Veterans Assistance office, on the basic costs. The way it is addressed on the MGI Bill website (www.gibill2.va.gov/) is that they are willing to match whatever Cedarville would be willing to give as scholarship/tuition forgiveness. My question is would Cedarville be willing to negotiate with this program for some of the costs or should I just assume that I'm going to need to apply for some scholarships/loans to help cover the remaining costs?

In trying to get all my payment options together, I have some questions. The main one concerns the payment deadline of August 1st. I have several scholarships and an interest-free loan that have been awarded to me that will not be paid, either to the school, or to me, until early August. Would a letter or statement from the respective awards, saying that they will be sending the money, cover that cost in my invoice? The only other option seems to be to start a monthly plan, which is not exactly what I'm looking for. Also, would checks be made out simply to "Cedarville University"? I also was wondering why some scholarships that I have notified the financial aid office of, are listed in my financial award letter, but not in my invoice. Is this because they have not actually been payed yet? Any help you can offer, and as soon as possible, would be greatly appreciated, mostly about the August 1st deadline.

Hello,
My son has been accepted to Cedarville for 2005 and has received the faculty scholarship of 2200 dollars a year. Leaving somewhere in the neighborhood of 20,000 dollars a year to pay. We want very much for our son to attend Cedarville but this amount seems enormous to us. Would it be unusal or realistic to expect borrowing $80,000 for the 4 years at Cedarville. We have no money set aside for college.and also will have another son starting college as well. Can we make this work? I know we will be filling out a Fasfa in January and may get a little help. It all just seems impossible right now.
To complicate matters our son has received a 2 year full tuition scholarship offer at Ohio-University-Lancaster because of his 4 point and 29 on the ACT. It would be nice if Cedarville offered this.
Cedarville is still his and our first choice. We want so much for him to go where the Lord is taught and pis present. I would like to say that the money doesn't matter but it does. Can we make this work??
Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks

I have recieved my financial aid package for my freshman year, and looking at finances, I discovered that I have enough money to pay for the first two years of college, but after that, I'm out. I am completely responsible for paying for college, and if don't have enough money to go through college and end up practically debt free, i don't go. I was wondering if there is more financial aid/scholarship money available once I complete my freshmen year (not counting the money they've already told me about). Also, what other ways are there available for financing my education? Would it be possible to find a job at CU even though I am not qualified for work-study?

~Erica~
