I get all excited about coming to Cedarville and then I look at the Student Life Rules and I get so freaked out. I don't know how I'm going to handle no tv and not being able to even enter a male dorm. I'm worried I might pysch myself out again (I could have come in the fall 06 or spring 07). I have another question. I read that no face jewelry is allowed. I have a small diamond stud in my nose. Is this something I will get in trouble for and if I do, why? I know many Christians who love God and have a nose piercing. Please give your advice... Thanks.

I have about 35 credit hours so I think I would be considered a sophmore, but Im not sure about housing, - at Cedarville is housing by year or random (freshman-seniors??)
I guess Im just looking for suggestions on where to live, I want to become involved on campus but was a little worried about meeting new people since I started college somewhere else.

      If you wouldn't mind answering these questions, I would absolutely appreciate it.

Cedarville University accepts accredited course-work that has been taken at a regionally accredited college or university where the grade earned was a “C-“ or better. All credit is evaluated on a class-by-class basis and is subject to an academic and equivalency evaluation.

What are your transfer admission requirements?

Students should have a minimum, cumulative grade point average of 3.0 to be considered for admission. Cedarville’s admissions committee also considers curriculum taken, school attended, co-curricular involvement, and other factors in the admission decision.

What kind of credit do I receive for my developmental or orientation courses?

Developmental, remedial, and orientation courses are not transferable and will not count toward your degree.

How does Cedarville convert my present quarter hours into semester hours?

Cedarville divides the quarter hours by 1.5. For example, if you have earned 6 quarter hours they will be converted to 4 semester hours.

Can I transfer courses that I am currently working on?

Yes, make sure you send official transcripts once you successfully complete the course.

What is my class standing?

Undergraduate students are classified according to the number of semester hours passed.
0-30 = Freshman
31-60 = Sophomore
61-90 = Junior
91-up = Senior

When will I find out which of my credits will transfer?

An official evaluation of your transfer credits will be completed after you are admitted to Cedarville and have paid the $250 enrollment deposit. However, if you want to have an evaluation done prior, please contact the Transfer Coordinator.

Where do I send my transcripts?

Please send official transcripts to the Admissions Office at 251 N. Main St., Cedarville, OH 45314

Can courses that I transfer to Cedarville be used to satisfy my major and minor requirements?

Yes, on an individual evaluation process. Please be aware that you must take at least 1/3 of the courses necessary to satisfy your major and minor requirement at Cedarville.

How does by GPA factor into my Cedarville GPA?

Credits transferred from other institutions are not used in calculating the Cedarville grade point average. The Cedarville cumulative grade point ratio is determined only by the credits and grade points earned through Cedarville.

When do I register for classes?

Transfer students begin the registration process in late April for the fall semester and in November for the spring semester, with late applicants registering at the time the reservation deposit is paid. Completed information and registration instructions will be sent to you after you have been admitted and paid the $250 reservation deposit.
