Cedarville University and the South Central Pennsylvania Chapter Leadership Team invite you to join them for a morning of service! Volunteer now to help as we partner with Global Aid Network.

Missions trips and shipments of compassionate aid are planned by Global Aid Network to reach out around the world. Volunteer help in preparing shipments of loads of aid is vital to the ongoing ministry outreach. Our contribution of time and effort will not only be an enjoyable time of Christian fellowship, but it will help to give us a better understanding of what is happening in missions in many countries worldwide. At the same time we will provide valuable assistance toward packing and processing items like shoes, vegetable seeds, clothing, CarePacks of school supplies, Teddy bears or other aid that will go out in shipments to places such as various countries in Africa, Belarus, Central Asia, the Middle East, Russia, and Ukraine among others. There will be jobs for everyone from elementary age on up. The work stations open will depend on what aid is needed at the time. We may be working on CarePacks, Gospel Bracelets, clothing, shoes and other types of aid.

Please bring your own sack lunch so we can eat together at noon.

CLOSED TOED SHOES ARE REQUIRED.

Hi:

Two CU alumni, Jason Briggs and Derek Stambaugh, are biking this summer from the Pacific to the Atlantic with stops along the way in places like the Grand Canyon, Colorado Springs, St. Louis, Cedarville, and right here in South Central Pennsylvania.

Why? They are calling their cross-country bike trip Vision On Wheels. It is designed to raise support and awareness for Fisheni – an African village in Zambia Africa. The Women of Vision chapter at Cedarville University has committed to supporting the Fisheni Village over the next 10 years. Their work focuses specifically on health, literacy, and water related issues of this AIDS torn village. By touring the US, Vision on Wheels will partner with Women of Vision and Cedarville University in an attempt to help bring support and awareness for the Fisheni Village.

Their goal is to raise $100,000 for Fisheni. All money that is donated will go towards the community development work and will be applied by World Vision and the community leaders of Fisheni.

As part of the Cedarville family, would you consider joining us to welcome Jason and Derek as they pass through our area? What a great opportunity to learn more about and be a part of this worthy project!

Lord willing, they will be stopping Monday, July 2 at about 10:30 am or soon after, in my town of Elverson, PA which is right on PA Route 23 (Bike Route S) near where Lancaster, Berks and Chester Counties meet. They plan to stay for about an hour, have a mid-morning break and a bite to eat, and share with us their vision for the Fisheni project. It promises to be a short, but meaningful and fun time for everyone in your family.

If you can make it, a reply to this e-mail would be appreciated, but not necessary. I know this gathering is impromptu and during a weekday, but I thought even a small group of CU family would be a great encouragement to them.
