Burning CDs with Nero Express
Warning: When you open Ahead Nero's burning software to create a CD, you may receive an error message stating that you that you do not have rights to burn a disc with this program. The exact wording of the error message is: "Please ask your system administrator to install 'Nero BurnRights.' Burning permission can be granted to some or all users with this tool. Nero BurnRights can be downloaded from http://www.nero.com." Even though you can say "OK" to this message, and the Nero Express program launches, it will not burn anything to the CD until the burn rights are installed. In this case, please submit a computer service request and ask that a technician install Nero BurnRights on your Gateway system.
- Go to “Start” > “All Programs” > “Ahead Nero CD Writer” (or simply “Nero”) > “Nero Programs” > “Nero Express.”

- Add the desired objects to your disc.
- EITHER navigate to the folders/files you wish to burn and drag and drop each object into the Disc Content window,

- Verify data on disc after burning: select the check box for the program to check that data was recorded successfully.

- Click the “Burn” button.
- If creating multiple copies, you will be prompted to insert an additional CD upon successful completion of the burn, and the CD tray will open.
- When finished, click “OK.”
- Click “Next.” The CD tray will open.
Notes & Troubleshooting Tips
- If you have difficulty burning a CD, try choosing a lower Write Speed instead of the default setting.
- Closing a CD means that nothing can be added to its contents at a later time. If you are creating a CD for another person, you probably want to close it to ensure that its contents can not be accidentally modified. If you are created a CD for yourself and you wish to have the flexibility of adding additional files and folders later, leave the session open (check the box for "Allow files to be added later").
