CedarNet: Open File Security Warning

You may receive an "Open File - Security Warning" or "unknown publisher" error message when you try to run on-campus programs in CedarNet. Follow these instructions to fix this:

  1. [Start] > Choose "Control Panel."
  2. Under "Classic View" (option on the left) Double-click "Internet Options" > Select "Security" tab.
  3. Select "Local Intranet" > Click [Sites].
  4. Uncheck the "Automatically detect intranet network" box.
  5. Select [OK] > [OK].
