Factors in Choosing a Cell Phone
Many options are available when choosing a cell phone to use at Cedarville.
Among those options are:
- Service provider
- Manufacturer
- Features
- Operating System
Due to the number of cell phones available, combined with the diversity among operating systems and wireless communications choices, information technology has had to make some decisions regarding standardization of support.
Our use of the Novell GroupWise Mobile Server allows us to seamlessly synchronize and secure e-mail, calendar, task, and contact information from a user’s GroupWise account to their cell phone.
Information Technology Supported Devices
In order to provide the best possible service, we are currently committed to full support of any Windows Mobile-based phone.
Any other operating system-based phone other than Windows Mobile-based phones will not be supported in information technology’s normal support structure.
