Google Mail: Mark Email as Unread
To mark an email as “unread” after it has previously been opened:
- In Google Mail, check the box for the message that you would like to mark as unread.
- Click the [More] drop-down and choose “Mark as unread.” The email will now look as if it has not been opened.
