Lost or Misplaced File
These are just a few suggestions for finding "misplaced files" whose location is a mystery.

Run a search using the file name (Go to "Start" > "Search").

If your file was recently opened, look in the "My Recent Documents" folder in the start menu or navigate to: C:\Documents and Settings\ [YourUsername] \My Recent Documents.
- If your file was one of the last three you accessed, you may be able to look under the "File" menu for the last three documents opened with a given program. If you are in Microsoft Word, you can check under the "File" menu for the last three documents you opened in Word.
