Pin Outlook to the taskbar or the Start menu

If you want to access Outlook more easily, you can pin the program icon to the taskbar or the Start menu.

When you pin a program to the taskbar, the program icon stays on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen so you can easily click on it to open the program.

To pin Outlook to the Windows taskbar:

  1. Go to Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office.
  2. Right-click on Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  3. Select “Pin to Taskbar.”

Windows Start Menu

To pin Outlook to the Windows Start menu:

  1. Go to Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office.
  2. Right-click on Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  3. Select “Pin to Start Menu.”

Create a shortcut to Outlook on your desktop

Another easy way to get to a program you frequently use is to create a shortcut to the program on your desktop.

To create a shortcut to Outlook:

  1. Go to Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office.
  2. Right-click on Microsoft Outlook 2010.
