Outlook: Keyboard Shortcuts

In Microsoft Outlook, you can get to regular menu options by pressing a combination of keyboard keys called a keyboard shortcut instead of looking for that option in the menu. Here are a list of some useful keyboard shortcuts for Outlook:

  • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + A: Create a new appointment
  • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + C: Create a new contact
  • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + E: Search for an item
  • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + K: Create a new task
  • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + M: Create a new email message
  • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + N: Create a new note
  • [Ctrl] + [Shift] + Q: Create a new meeting request
  • [Ctrl] + M: Send and receive emails
  • [Ctrl] + N: Create a new item pertaining to your current view (i.e. a new calendar event if you are in the Calendar, or a new email message if you are in Mail)
  • [Ctrl] + P: Print (opens print options)
