Printing Attachments Using Associated Application

If you right-click on an attachment in a GroupWise email, the attachment will print out.  However, many people do not like the header that is included on the printout (which indicates the email date and name on the email account.)

It can be cumbersome to right-click on the attachment, open with the application and then print just to remove the header.  Fortunately, there is another option.

You can choose a print setting to print the attachment using the associated application.  Here are the steps:

  1. Open the email
  2. Right-click on the attachment (i.e., a Word document)
  3. Choose "Print..."
  4. A "Print" dialog box will open
  5. Look in the lower left of the dialog box, there is an option to "Print attachment with associated application"
  6. Use your mouse to click and check that box
  7. Click [Print]
*Note:  this will use your default printer, so make sure that your default printer has been set before proceeding with these instructions*
