Updating Spybot – Search and Destroy

  1. Go to [Start] > "All Programs" > "Spybot - Search & Destroy" > "Spybot - Search & Destroy."  OR Start > "All Programs" > "Accessories" > "System Tools" > "Spybot - Search & Destroy" > "Spybot - Search & Destroy." 
  2. Click [Update]. 
  3. If Spybot generates an error message, click the button to the left of the [Update] button > choose [Safer-Networking #1 (Europe)]. 
  4. If updates are found, right-click one update and choosing "Select All."
  5. After selecting updates, click [Download Updates].
  6. If you receive a download error, go back to step 3 and select a different Update site.
  7. The program may restart as part of the update process - this is normal.
  8. After applying all available updates, click [Immunize] in the left-hand column. You will have to click the green plus sign if you receive any message other than "All known bad products are already blocked."
