Cedarville, Ohio—Award-winning education, coupled with revolutionizing technology, provides high school students with a true taste of the college classroom.

Cedarville University has developed the Cedarville Academy, an online program that allows high school juniors and seniors to jump-start their undergraduate education.

Students can receive both high school and college credit in a variety of classes that include literature, history, science and math, with more course offerings available by spring 2009. Cedarville faculty members direct the courses and provide personal interaction with each Academy student.

“The Dayton Christian School System is already working to align its curricula with the Academy so that dual credit will be helpful to students,” says Lee Reno, DCSS superintendent.

According to Dr. John Gredy, vice president of enrollment at Cedarville, “The Academy also has worldwide potential as international high schools seek to partner with us to offer higher education opportunities to their students.”

In addition to its flexibility and credit opportunities, the Academy also presents a significant financial incentive. Tuition is reduced by 75 percent, and special scholarships are available for current Academy students who choose to attend Cedarville on a full-time basis.

What sets the Academy apart is a Christ-centered approach to learning, one that incorporates a biblical worldview into all fields of study.
