In the midst of the current health care reform debate, two Cedarville alums are taking a stand. Carrie (Fabian) Holt '00 and Erika (Olin) Weise '99 are not just good friends but also mothers of special needs children. They are making a difference by speaking at hospitals, participating in support groups for similar families, and — most recently — attending a press conference in Washington, D.C. Several news outlets covered the press conference, attended by congressmen and pro-life groups speaking on behalf of families with special needs, to ensure that a government-run health care plan would not lead to rationed care for children and people with disabilities.
