Ciliated Simple Columnar Epithelium
NOTES:
This is an oil-immersion (1000 X) view of a section of Fallopian tube. Cilia are visible along the apical surface of these cells. These are specialized organelles which help propel a fertilized ovum into the uterus for implantation. Notice that fewer goblet cells are found here than in nonciliated simple columnar epithelium.
