NOTES:
This low-power view of the gastric mucosa shows gastric glands, both in
longitudinal and cross section, made up of simple columnar cells (individual
cells are also not easily identified at this power). The lumen is to the
left. Many gastric glands (G) drain into larger gastric pits (P). Note
the lamina propria (LP) and muscularis mucosae (MM). The submucosa and
other layers of the stomach are not shown here
