Cayman Faith

In the early days of the islands, the love of the church was evident among the Cayman people. Their faith sustained them and many of their activities revolved around the church. The majority of the people on Grand Cayman Island attended church regularly and held the church and church leaders in high esteem. However, just like the United States, there were commonly people who heard the Bible but did not accept it as truth.

Today, on Grand Cayman Island, there are approximately ninenty churches. On any given Sunday you will find many Caymanians filling the pews of the church. Sunday is still considered to be a day of rest in the Cayman Islands with many businesses and offices closed with the exception of some restaurants.
