Noche Buena:
Noche Buena, or "good night," is what we would call Christmas Eve. The families attend a mass, which is a Catholic church service, very late at night. After they come home from the mass, they have a Christmas supper which may include tamales, ham, "ponche" (a hot fruit punch), and "cidra"(sparkling cider). The night ends with the breaking of the piñata, and "luces de Belen"(sparklers).
