Communication
Communication is the path to pursuing your passion. Communication prepares you to be bold to change the world as you engage culture with heart and mind for Christ.
Studies estimate at least 75% of our day is spent communicating in some form. Our communication major is designed to prepare you with the foundation of the discipline and transferable communication skills to meet the demands of a dynamic and changing work environment. Our coursework develops leadership skills, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity necessary for advancement in both employment and graduate school contexts.
This program has a 3-year option.
This major prepares students for careers in:
- public relations
- personnel management
- consultation programs,
- media communications
- corporate executive training
Because excellent communication skills are important in many professions, this major has also been chosen by those pursuing careers in marketing/sales and politics. It also serves as excellent preparation for those planning additional graduate professional training such as law, theology, and business.
Our concentrations allow students to work with an academic advisor to build a customized program of study, to seek employment in many fields including politics, organizational communication, event planning, public relations and many more.
