Data and Investigative Reporting

JOUR-4620

This course teaches the tools and techniques to use data and other investigative tools and resources to produce in-depth stories. The content will focus on serving the public interest by acting as a watchdog on government business, education, health, environment, safety and other organizations. Freedom will be given to produce stories on platforms that fit career goals. Prerequisites: JOUR-1000 Multiplatform Journalism 1; JOUR-2000 Multiplatform Journalism 2; or permission of instructor.
