Biography
Dr. Pauley specializes in the field of immunology with a focus on the study of autoimmune disease pathogenesis. She served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Florida where she researched the role of differentially expressed microRNAs in autoimmune diseases and developed a novel drug design for the autoimmune disorder Sjogren's syndrome. Her research interests continue to focus on the role of microRNAs in autoimmune disease pathogenesis and the development of new therapeutic strategies.

Why Cedarville: I was looking for a place to teach biology where I wouldn't have to compromise my faith on issues of creation and origins. When I interviewed at Cedarville, it became clear to me that this was the place where God wanted me to be. I love teaching here because of my wonderful colleagues and the opportunities that I have to minister to my students.
