Next Steps for Summer Studies Students
Upon acceptance to the Summer Studies program, you may be asking "What's next?" Please refer carefully to the next steps so that you are prepared for a successful Summer Studies experience!
Step 1: Plan Your Stay
- Coordinate airport transportation (if necessary)
Transportation to/from campus will be provided from Columbus International Airport on June 9 and June 23. If you need transportation from the Columbus airport, please register at this link to reserve a space.
Saturday, June 09: Anticipated pick-up time at the airport is 11 a.m.
Saturday, June 23: Transportation to the airport will leave campus at 10:00 a.m. Flights should be scheduled for 1:30 p.m. or later.
Please plan your flights accordingly!
Check-in will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 09, 2018. During check-in you will meet your RA, get your room key, and move into your residence hall room.
Summer Studies Orientation will be held directly after check-in from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 09. We will say good-bye to parents at 4:00 p.m. that evening.
Summer Studies officially ends at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 23. All students should plan to depart between 9:00 a.m. and noon.

Step 2: Registration and Preparing for Your Course
- Contact a program advisor
College Now students will receive an e-mail from a Program Advisor after the student is accepted. Program advisors help with registration and are available to answer questions about the Summer Studies program.
- Register for class before May 28
All Summer Studies class registrations are completed by submitting the Summer Studies Course Request Form. Contact your Program Advisor to schedule an advising meeting and to ask about the Course Request Form.
- Submit Photo for Cedarville ID
Submit a photo of yourself to have your official Cedarville University ID card printed and waiting for you when you arrive to campus in June.
- Settle your student account
Payment is due in full by June 11, 2018. You may mail a check to Cedarville University, Attn: Cashier, 251 N. Main St., Cedarville, OH 45314, or you may pay your bill online using an e-check or credit/debit card. Note that payment using a debit or credit card will incur a 2.5% transaction fee. If you have questions about your student account, please contact the Cashiers Office.
- Purchase textbooks
You will have assigned reading to be completed before you come to campus so you will need to purchase your textbooks before Summer Studies begins. Once you are registered, your Program Advisor will provide instructions for ordering textbooks.
Step 3: Medical Forms and Waivers
- Complete waiver forms.
The following forms must be completed and signed for student participation in various Summer Studies activities:
- Submit waiver forms.
You must complete the climbing wall waiver online prior to arrival for check-in. The medical information form and the canoeing waiver must be printed and completed prior to arriving for check-in. Forms may be scanned and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or mailed to Cedarville University Student Life, 251 N. Main St, Cedarville, OH 45314. Please scan to the attention of Resident Director (RD) Abbey Siebert.
- Please bring* a COPY of your medical insurance card to check-in for the RD Abbey Siebert to keep on file. *We will not be able to copy your insurance card at check-in.
Step 4: Beyond Summer Studies
- Apply for undergraduate admission.
If you are a rising senior and wish to apply for admission to Cedarville as a college freshman, it's an easy process! Contact a University admissions counselor with questions about undergraduate admissions.
