Upon acceptance to the Summer Scholars program, you may be asking "What's next?"  Please refer carefully to the next steps so that you are prepared for a successful Summer Scholars experience!


Step 1: Register For Your Course

  • Meet with your College Now Advisor
    College Now students will receive an e-mail from their College Now Advisor after the student is accepted. College Now Advisors help with registration and are available to answer questions about the Summer Scholars program.
  • Complete the Course Request Form
    After you meet with your College Now Advisor, the Advisor will give you access to the Summer 2020 course request form. Use this form to request your Summer Scholars course.
  • Submit your $100 partial pre-payment
    Visit the Pre-Payment Form to submit your $100 pre-payment to reserve your space in the Summer Scholars program. 
    Your pre-payment is refundable through April 30. Cancellations after April 30 will forfeit the pre-payment.

Step 2: Plan Your Transportation

  • Coordinate airport transportation (if necessary)
    A shuttle will be at the Columbus Airport to pick up students at noon on Saturday, June 13th. Flights need to land in Columbus on Saturday before noon.
    Departure: A shuttle will be leaving campus at 8:30AM on Saturday, June 27th to arrive at the Columbus Airport by 10AM. Flights need to be booked after 1PM on Saturday, June 27th.
    For shuttle service to Columbus, there is an $80.00 round-trip charge ($40 one-way).
    Please contact your College Now Advisor to schedule airport transportation.
  • Check-in
    Check-in will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020. During check-in you will meet your Resident Advisor (RA), get your room key, and move into your residence hall room. 
  • Orientation
    Summer Scholars Orientation will be held directly after check-in from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 13. We will say good-bye to parents at 5 p.m. that afternoon.
  • Departure
    Summer Scholars officially ends at noon on Saturday, June 27. All students should plan to depart between 9 a.m. and noon.

Step 3: Prepare For Your Course

  • Submit photo for Cedarville ID
    Please submit a qualifying photo so we can have your Cedarville University Student ID ready as soon as you get to campus. Select this link to submit your photo.
  • Settle your student account
    Payment is due in full by June 15, 2020. You may mail a check to Cedarville University, Attn: Cashier, 251 N. Main St., Cedarville, OH 45314, or you may pay your bill online using an e-check or credit/debit card. Note that payment using a debit or credit card will incur a 2.5% transaction fee. If you have questions about your student account, please contact the Cashiers Office.  
  • Purchase textbooks
    You will have assigned reading to be completed before you come to campus, so you will need to purchase your textbooks before Summer Scholars begins. Once you are registered, your College Now Advisor will provide instructions for ordering textbooks. 

Step 4: Staying On Campus

  • Complete medical forms.
    The following forms must be completed and signed for student participation in various Summer Scholars activities:
    • Family Medical Information - PDF for download
    • Dietary Restrictions - online form (only complete if applicable) - Form currently unavailable.
  • Submit Family Medical Information Form
    The Family Medical Information Form must be printed and completed prior to arriving for check-in. 
  • Please bring* a COPY of your medical insurance card to check-in for the RD to keep on file. 
    *We will not be able to copy your insurance card at check-in.

    Take time to read through the 2019 Summer Scholars Student Guide. The Student Guide provides information about what to bring, activities, technology, and much more! We will be updating the 2020 guide this spring. Please use this guide as a reference.
