The Hive Renovation and Expansion 2017

Exciting plans for Cedarville’s favorite gathering place

Since the opening of the Stevens Student Center in 2000, The Hive has been a hub of vibrant community on Cedarville’s campus — a comfortable place where students go to share a meal, meet with a professor for discipleship, or have a life-changing conversation about the Lord’s will for their lives.

But our growing swarm of Yellow Jackets has outgrown the beloved Hive. Students stand in long lines waiting for transfer meals. Seating is inadequate, and the entire space is showing signs of age.

That’s why we are so excited about this summer’s renovation and expansion of Cedarville’s favorite gathering place.

Think: Chipotle meets Starbucks. Café meets grill. Casual dining meets inviting study space. Twice the capacity with a bright and inviting decor — this will be the hub of community for a whole new generation of Yellow Jackets.

But, we need your support to make it happen.

With a goal of $300,000 to fund the expansion, students and donors have already stepped up to launch the campaign. Now, your gift — of any size — will help provide a community-enhancing gathering space for our Yellow Jackets.
