Your first weekend on campus will be an exciting time to move in, meet new friends, and get connected to Cedarville. We’ve got an awesome weekend planned to make the transition fun and easy for you and your whole family.
The Getting Started program and activities are intentional and designed with you and your family in mind. Our goal is for you to become acclimated to the CU culture and environment while ensuring your family that you are safe and in good hands.
Come visit the tents and booths of over 100 different orgs, ministries and vendors as you take a look at what you can be involved in at CU and in the community! Then grab some friends and head to the SSC hillside for live music, fun activities, HUGE prize giveaways and of course a movie by the lake. There’s no better way to Kick-Off the new year!
The ALT Night (The Alternative) is the greatest and largest consecutive campus event that Cedarville has to offer. ALTs feature a wide variety of themed activities, pre-release movies on the big screen, and . . . they’re always free! ALTs also features unique opportunities that encourage students to serve others and give back. Having fun, saving money and building community.
Every Thursday night, SCAB hosts Thursday Night Live (TNL), which consists of an activity trivia, bingo, open mic, etc.) and live entertainment, Rinnova our campus coffeehouse, offers BOGO (buy one, get one free) Thursday evenings in the Hive.
Art in the Open celebrates the artistic talents of Cedarville University students, faculty, staff, and guests through live music, art shows and exhibitions, an annual Art Gala, and Opening Nights (an event that provides Cedarville students with an opportunity to attend the opening night of the play at a discounted ticket cost).
Campus Christmas at Cedarville University has become a tradition that includes music, Christmas movies, games, pictures with Santa and his elves, a late Christmas breakfast, and hang out time with Dr. White (the University’s President). Campus Christmas provides students with the opportunity to enjoy each other, Christmas, and most importantly, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Winter Blast is the annual kickoff party for the Spring semester. It takes place the second weekend of the semester in conjunction with the annual CU LEADership Conference and it features games, a movie and much more. Winter Blast is a great opportunity to have a lot of fun, reconnect with friends, get involved and welcome new people to the Cedarville Family.
Elliv is Ville spelled backwards and it is a unique student-run event that celebrates campus culture and the collective talent of the student body. This high-energy, yearly celebration is a highly-anticipated Cedarville tradition that culminates the school year with music, dance, awards, and memories.
CU LEAD exists to equip and inspire leaders to be exceptional in all areas of life. Through an exploration of a Biblical definition of leadership, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to implement positive change through effective stewardship, influence, service.
