Karen Boyd coordinates the Ohio Board of Regents online tutoring program, eTutoring, which began in January 2010. The program began with five schools and has expanded to 43 schools that include public and private, two-year and four-year higher education institutions.

Prior to joining the Ohio eTutoring Collaborative in 2009, she taught communications courses at Central Ohio Technical College. Previous higher education experience includes posts at Muskingum University, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and The Ohio State University-Newark. Ms. Boyd earned a master’s degree in social science from Ohio University and a bachelor’s degree in communication from Capital University. She has earned professional honors from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America, and the Ohio Hospital Association.
