Creating Gospel Focused Lessons
Brandon Waltz, Director of Production Services Group at Cedarville University, Biblical & Theological Studies Center Room 201
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not only the message we must understand to enter the Christian life, it is also the message we remember to make any progress in that life. This workshop is about making the most of our opportunities to teach this message well to children. In those moments, our focus is not only to communicate “content to be understood” but a person to be adored.
Navigating Copyrights in Ministry
Ryan Simmons, Numinous Productions, Biblical & Theological Studies Center Room 203
Whether it’s using a Google image in a bulletin, showing a movie clip in a Sunday school class or singing a new song during worship on Sunday morning, there are questions of copyright interwoven into each of these situations. Learn some best practices to help stay above board.
Not Even a Hint
Scott Bruns, Executive Director of Scioto Hills Camp, Biblical & Theological Studies Center Room 205
This new workshop will address the importance of maintaining sexual purity for all church workers so our ministries maintain a Christ-honoring reputation within the church body and throughout our community at large. We will visit the positional and practical instruction Paul gives the Ephesian church for solid biblical advice. Discussion will be welcomed as we share strategies to insure that “not even a hint” of sexual impropriety finds a place in our ministry or what to do if it has. Those serving Christ today need this workshop!
Josh Witry, Office Director, Skyview Ranch, Biblical & Theological Studies Center Room 206
