Dr. Duane Wood retired from full-time employment at Cedarville University but continues as Executive Director for Program Development and as an adjunct professor in graduate programs in business administration and education.
Dr. Wood served as Vice President of Academics at Cedarville University for 18 years. He previously served as Dean of the School of Business, Economics, and Management and as Director of the interdisciplinary M.S. in Administration at the University of Southern Maine; as Director of the Perry School of Banking; and as Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration at Central Michigan University where he was awarded the Lyle W. Wilhite Award for teaching excellence.
Dr. Wood has conducted management training and development sessions and served as a consultant to over 25 business and nonprofit organizations, including Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Bath Iron Works, Dow Chemical, IBM, Dow Corning, and the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as several banks, hospitals and universities. He has also served as a founding member and Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of Church Extension Ministries, as a Trustee on the Board of New England Baptist Bible College, as a member of the Governor’s Technology Advisory Council for the Ohio Board of Regents, and is currently on the governing board for the Ohio Learning Network. He has authored over 60 articles and papers that have been published or presented in professional management and higher education conferences.
