An introduction to the use of formal and informal assessment techniques for identification and remediation of reading difficulties. Teacher candidates learn practical instructional strategies for teaching students with reading problems and apply the techniques by working with elementary students in a school setting. Prerequisite: EDEC-2300 Phonics and the Reading Process. (Fee: $20)
