We are excited about your plans to join us for graduate classes at Cedarville University. The following information is provided to assist you in planning for a positive experience during your course work.

CedarNet – Take advantage of the award-winning technology available at Cedarville. Not only do you have Internet access (including WIFI across all campus), CedarNet provides you with access to more than 160 software programs.

Student Homepage – Includes links and information for current Cedarville students.

CedarInfo – Offers a variety of online services such as printing/viewing class schedules and viewing transcripts.

Email (Google Mail)

Moodle – Online course management system. Log in here with your Cedarville name and password to access all assignments and resources for online classes or courses that use Moodle.

Online Courses – Provides an overview of distance education and helpful tips for succeeding in online courses at Cedarville.

Information Technology – Provides computer-related resources to faculty, staff, and students to ensure a reliable network infrastructure, a dependable computing environment, essential help-desk services, and comprehensive information delivery.

Bookstore – A convenient one-stop for textbooks and school supplies. It also has a great selection of Bibles, gifts and cards, University logo items and sportswear, CDs, trade books, candy, and a small selection of toiletries.

Centennial Library – Provides an effective gateway to the world of information access and use for students.

Academic Enrichment Center – Cultivates academic scholarship among all Cedarville students.

Writing Center – Exists to help writers at all levels of proficiency from all academic disciplines develop effective writing skills.

Career Services – Provides materials for job-search techniques, resumé writing, and interviewing.

Counseling Services – Enhances student success by providing individual counseling, support groups, referrals, and education.

Chapel – Join with the Cedarville family in corporate worship and hearing from top Bible teachers, leaders, and authors from around the country. Chapel is held each weekday at 10 a.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center, and can be heard daily via cyberradio on The PATH.

Center for Teaching and Learning – Provides support for distance learning and instructional design services for professors.

Campus housing is only available during the summer for graduate students. Students staying in campus housing are required to complete the housing request form at least two weeks prior to the start of class.

Summer Residential Health Insurance

All graduate students staying in campus housing must provide proof of health insurance. International students staying in campus housing and attending class at Cedarville University are required to purchase health insurance valid for services in the United States. Both International students and US citizens who do not have health insurance may purchase insurance through Cedarville University.

Most students enjoy buffet style meals in the university dining hall located in the Stevens Student Center. As a graduate student, you will receive faculty/staff meal rates of $2.75 to $3.75 per meal. Students who prefer to dine off-campus enjoy several local restaurants within easy walking distance of the Cedarville campus.

Computer Access and CedarNet

Each residence hall room is equipped with a networked computer enabling students to use CedarNet, the University's intranet. CedarNet provides access to over 150 commercial software packages, extensive online library resources, and high-speed internet. Please familiarize yourself with the CedarNet Acceptable Use Policy.


Coin-operated washers and dryers are available. The Cedarville Laundry (downtown) is available for use as well.

Modest casual dress (including jeans and capris) is acceptable for classes. Shorts may be worn outside of the classroom.

University Medical Services (UMS) provides student health care and a full-service ambulatory care facility with health care services similar to a family practice office. Cedarville’s Recreation Center offers full access to campus recreation programs and facilities at no additional charge. Both facilities are located adjacent to the Doden Field House.

Campus safety and security staff are on duty 24 hours a day and can be reached at (937) 239-6491 or 999 from a campus phone. Call 911 in case of emergency. All students must have a student photo I.D. made upon arrival to campus. This is normally done on the first day of classes at the Campus Safety office.

Several churches are located within a short distance of the University, as well as in Xenia or Springfield.

Equipment for indoor and outdoor activities (e.g. ping pong, pool, softball, and volleyball) may be obtained through the Student Life Division. An extensive state-wide bike trail connecting Cedarville to trails leading south and west is located just a half mile south of campus. Hikers can enjoy Massie's Creek Gorge, a quarter mile from campus, and the popular Clifton Gorge, just four miles north of Cedarville. Enjoy these recreational opportunities as time permits!
