Cedarville University is seeking an Accounts Payable Technician to process records and ensure the timely payment of University bills and financial obligations. This is a full-time, twelve-month (2080 hours), non-exempt position that reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process requisitions in accordance with university policies and procedures
  • Receive and process purchase orders in accordance with university policies and procedures
  • Process vendor payment, employee reimbursement requisitions for scheduled EFT payments
  • Manage unpaid vendor invoices by following up on invoices received, but not yet approved or paid
  • Assist with filing and scanning for document imaging as needed Process checks according to weekly schedule
  • Add or modify vendor records with accurate up to date information
  • Perform various account reconciliations as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

The Cedarville University School of Pharmacy invites applications for a faculty position as an associate/ full professor of pharmaceutical science to also serve as Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Associate Director of Enrollment Services provides leadership and management for the effective use of the enrollment management customer relationship management software and oversees all aspects of the admissions application process to the institution. This a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Director of Enrollment Services. 
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
1. Provide leadership and manage all aspects related to the effective and efficient use of the Slate CRM.  
a. Maintain current functions.
b. Responsible for training new users.
c. Provide support for all users both in enrollment management and institution wide.
d. Stay current on all updates and implement new features with the goal of improving efficiencies for the institution and a high level of service to our students and their families. 
e. Serve as the primary contact  with Cedarville’s Information Technology (IT) in items related to the use of the Slate and data transfers between Slate and Colleague.  
f. Support the recruitment efforts of CAST through planning with Admissions staff, production of call lists and recording of interactions in Slate. 
g. Work closely with Web Services to ensure all information request forms and event registration forms are created and embedded on the University website.  
h. Support Guest Services through the creation of Event Registration forms.  
2. Provide oversight for all aspects of the application process.
a. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all applications for admission to the university.
b. Oversee the creation and maintenance of all communications related to the application process including system emails and application completion drip campaigns.
c. Manage the Decision Release process including the timely and accurate release of all decisions, the associated communications with decision release to include decision release email notifications, updating the application status page and if desired, hard copy accept letters. 
d. Train and supervise file reviewers to assure that all admission policies and procedures are properly implemented.
e. Oversee notification of scholarships and financial aid increases to admitted students, providing timely and accurate award notifications.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. At least four years’ experience in admissions, student services, computer systems, management and/or marketing. 
3. Familiarity with Slate or an equivalent CRM system.
4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office software, adept in using the Web for research purposes and a skilled user of all forms of communication.
5. Must be spiritually and emotionally mature; professional and personable, enjoy working with a team; teachable and able to handle pressure and deadlines with a positive spirit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

Cataloging and Classification of Library Materials: 

  • Identify OCLC bibliographic records for overlaying to the local Innovative catalog for all material types (monograph, audiovisual, serial) and all formats (print, electronic)
  • Enhance OCLC bibliographic records to include detailed summaries, additional subject, author and title headings, and table of contents information when possible
  • Create and correctly populate item records
  • Perform original and complex cataloging at the level required by the OCLC network
  • Assign classification numbers which facilitate browsing of the print collection
  • Provide leadership in making decisions related to local cataloging practices and procedures
  • Maintain a current understanding of changes in OCLC Connexion, AACR2, RDA, DDC and LCSH and assist with implementing revisions of LCSH and DDC
  • Maintain awareness of and engagement with trends and development in metadata and knowledge architecture

Assisting with the management of the library collection: 

  • Withdraw all formats of materials from the library catalog
  • Assist with the annual collection inventory
  • Repair books and other damaged library materials

Participating in Library services and operations:

  • Assist with Collection Services tasks and projects, such as system maintenance, collection evaluation, collection shifting, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Library Digital Services Specialist (Part Time), Centennial Library

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Library Digital Services Specialist to provide technical and logistical support for digital library services and projects. This is a part-time (1040 annual hours), non-exempt position reporting to the Digital Commons Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

Serve on the library website management team

  • Help to assure access to resources through the library website, its content, graphics, site organization, and structure.  
  • Contribute to the effective development and administration of services provided through the library website.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the public library catalog display and its integration into the library website.
  • Assist in developing policies and standards for presentation of web-based content and services.
  • Work with the Library Systems Coordinator and library webmaster to solve access and system problems with the library website and online services.

Provide technical and logistical support and expertise for the processes and products of the DigitalCommons institutional digital repository

  • Assist in the uploading of documents to the DigitalCommons website.
  • Provide in-house design support services, in concert with Bepress templates, for the DigitalCommons website and publications provided through the DigitalCommons.
  • Understand and apply appropriate html codes for publications mounted on DigitalCommons. ·Work with University IT in uploading audio and video files to the Ensemble server.
  • Provide copyright clearance services for items uploaded to the DigitalCommons website.
  • Create and upload digital versions of print books and periodicals.
  • Prepare graduate program theses for uploading to the DigitalCommons website and manage arrangements for printing and binding.
  • Assist in projects undertaken by the DigitalCommons team to effectively highlight the intellectual output of the University.
  • Provide instruction and guidance to student staff assisting with DigitalCommons projects. Provide creative input and technical support for library and department projects
  • Furnish creative and technical support in the development and production of digital multi-media library communication and educational tools.
  • Contribute technical assistance for the development, layout, and preparation of graphics and statistical representations for library reports, publications, plans, and other documents.
  • ·Serve as a resource person for library staff on the available functions and effective use of basic office and graphics software programs.
  • Maintain a working familiarity with the library automated system and its related modules and functions.
  • Assist with additional library tasks and projects as needed: inventory, freshmen orientation, etc.
  • Perform other duties as appropriately identified and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree: Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or MultiMedia Communication
  • Computer expertise: software use, computer graphics, multi-media software: experience with WordPerfect, SPSS, Photoshop, InDesign, FlippingBook, Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint, Scanning Software, and Web Authoring software (e.g. HTML).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform construction and/or maintenance work on various projects in all academic and administrative buildings and residence halls.
  • Maintenance includes – but is not limited to: Framing, hanging/finishing drywall, exterior finishes – windows, doors, roofing, siding, interior finishes / finish carpentry – painting, trim work, cabinetry/countertops
  • Installation of: Acoustic ceilings, Ceramic tile (walls), Flooring – carpet, tile, VCT
  • Responsible to research and create material orders for supplies needed to perform tasks.
  • May be called on to assist with routine / preventative maintenance in classrooms, offices at the request of the Manager of Maintenance.
  • As an “emergency essential” position, this position may be required to be to assist with snow removal or other weather situations even when the rest of the University is on a snow delay or is closed.

Qualifications: 

  • High school degree or GED.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in general construction / maintenance work and five (5) years as a finish carpenter.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Self-starter and able to work alone or with a team. 
  • Must possess a valid Ohio driver license

Three-Dimensional Arts Shop Technician, Art, Design & Theatre

Cedarville University seeks to hire a Three Dimensional Arts Shop Technician who will assist the 3-D Studio Art Professor in his/her shop duties. This position maintains 3-D studios and oversees the management of the 3-D facilities and tool room.  This staff position is a full-time (1560 annual hours), non-exempt position that reports to the Chair of the Art, Design and Theatre Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work Rooms Management

  • Design and conduct shop-safety orientations; maintain safe work conditions and comply with established safety policies, practices, procedures and requirements; maintain safety equipment inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized shop
  • Coordinate, schedule and post open-shop hours
  • Maintain all modest housekeeping chores of the 3-D studio spaces
  • Maintain and supervise students to assure the overall cleanliness and safety of the studio spaces including all 3-D and ceramics studios
  • Assist in firing all kilns, including loading, unloading, cleaning, maintaining and monitoring. Will remain on call during the duration of any firing
  • Maintain all the shop’s glazes, clays, slips, and all other shop material as needed
  • Store and dispose of toxic materials according to established guidelines
  • Clean vacuums, dust collectors and other ventilation equipment
  • Assist with student workers as needed

Tool and Equipment Supervision

  • Manage hand-tool checkout system
  • Support and train faculty and students in the safe use and care of all tools and equipment
  • Maintain equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Maintain equipment and/or file all work orders to the proper people to maintain all 3-D facilities and studio spaces in good working order

Teaching Assistant:

  • Serve as a teaching assistant if/as needed
  • Assist 3-D Studio Art Professor in the preparation or demonstration of specialized instructional materials and procedures.
  • Assist in training students in the proper and safe use of tools and equipment
  • Authorize and document that students have been properly trained to operate tools and equipment

General Duties

  • Assist the 3-D Studio Art Professor as it pertains to the shop or studios
  • Be able to drive a truck and van, make deliveries and pick up art and supplies as needed
  • Review and monitor budget and accounts as needed
  • Assist with researching and purchasing materials and equipment for the 3-D and ceramic areas
  • Maintain all inventory at proper levels and quantities
  • Assist in researching student opportunities that pertain to the visual arts

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: B.S., B.A., or B.F.A. in Art or related field.
  • Demonstrate professional proficiency in the use of sculpture and ceramic shop equipment that pertains to but is not limited to wood, metal, and clay
  • Demonstrate organizational skills to maintain an efficient, safe and clean studio environment

REQUIRED MENTAL/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Ability to professionally communicate to students on a personal level and in classroom situations
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
