The Cedarville University School of Business Administration seeks faculty applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Management Science. The Assistant/Associate Professor of Management Science will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, providing support for the Master of Business Administration program.  The program will require a normal 4/4 teaching load.

Position Description:
The Cedarville University School of Engineering and Computer Science seeks faculty applicants in mechanical engineering.This is a tenure-track eligible faculty position. Applications at the Assistant or Associate Professor level are preferred, although strong candidates may be considered for appointment at the Professor level.
 
Candidates are sought with expertise in the areas of solid modeling, mechanics, mechanical design, and vibrations.  Highly qualified candidates whose expertise lies in other areas of mechanical engineering may also be considered.
 
Qualifications for this faculty position include a doctorate in mechanical engineering or related discipline, and a proven record of teaching.  A working knowledge of computational software such as Solid Works, Abaqus, and Matlab is considered essential for the position.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses and laboratories in a variety of mechanical engineering areas and advise senior design projects.
 
The School of Engineering and Computer Science is housed in a modern facility with extensive state-of-the-art laboratories and offers ABET-accredited BSCpE, BSEE, BSME, and BS degree in Computer Science as well as a newly-started BSCE degree program.

Staff: Art, Design & Theatre - Three Dimensional Arts Studio Technician

Position Description:

Cedarville University invites applications for a Three Dimensional Arts Studio Technician who will assist the Three Dimensional Studio Art Professor in his/her shop duties. This position maintains the 3-D studios and oversees the management of the 3-D facilities and tool room. This staff position is a full-time, nine-month (1560 annual hours) non-exempt position that reports to the Chair of the Art, Design and Theatre Department. Additional responsibilities include work room management, tools and equipment supervision and serving as a teaching assistant if/as needed.

Staff: Accounting and Finance - Staff Accountant

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant responsible for supporting the Accounting and Finance Department with basic accounting functions.  This position plays an integral role in the accounting process and is critical to the success of annual audits and compliance reporting requirements.This is a full-time, twelve-month, exempt position that reports to the Director of Accounting Services. 

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • At least monthly, the Staff Accountant will post journal entries, review the general ledger, complete bank account reconciliations, reconcile payroll withholding accounts, analyze balance sheet accruals, clear stale dated/ NSF checks, reconcile gift holding account, and maintain audit files/records.

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Resident Director to provide supervision for a female residence hall, which includes: planning and programming, supervising Resident Assistants, administration of University regulations, and residence hall upkeep. Qualified individuals will also provide leadership by serving as a role model for students. This is a full-time (1560 annual hours), exempt position that reports to the Dean of Women.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
  • Hires and provides direct oversight for Resident Assistants.
  • Plans and implements programs for his/her residence hall.
  • Supervises the general maintenance of the residence hall.

  • Assists with student room assignment and processing the students moving in and checking

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be passionate about working with college students and willing to adjust to changing needs of each new generation of students.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
REQUIRED MENTAL/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
  • Ability to hear and speak clearly.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Capable of visiting any residence hall room on campus without physical assistance.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Work is performed in an office environment
  • Periodic interactions with inclement weather due to the nature of the position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Recruit students by identifying prospects and providing relevant service, information and support
  • Be accountable to goals and work with appropriate admissions and prospect data to accomplish goals

  • Follow NCAA rules and regulations in the recruitment of student athletes
  • Represent the University at on-campus recuitment events, college fairs, and conferences.

  • Develop travel itineraries.

Staff: Web Services - Full-Stack Web Developer

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Full-Stack Web Developer who will  design, develop, deliver and maintain engaging, standards-based websites, web applications and mobile experiences. This is a full time (2080 annual hours), exempt position, that reports to the Director of Web Services. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop standards-based HTML plans from comprehensive design images and content plans.
  2. Implement plans using technologies and frameworks such as CSS, JavaScript, ASPX, C#, and web content management systems.
  3. Ensure that designs and implementations achieve a high level of:
    1. Conformance with industry standards
    2. Compliance with regulatory requirements
    3. Accessibility, including meeting current WCAG standards
    4. Cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility
    5. User experience (UX) functionality and acceptance
  4. Understand target audiences and use best practices to ensure the website is maximized as a tool for accomplishing University marketing goals
  5. Manipulate, and occasionally develop, graphics, logos, pictures or artwork for University websites.
  6. Address issues regarding content and appearance, bring relevant parties together for efficient discussion, and give insightful input into design and content choices.
  7. Help individual users solve web design and web-based application problems.
  8. Work with campus departments to keep web content up to date.
  9. Maintain a working knowledge of continuing changes in website development tools and techniques.
  10. Perform selected software installations.
  11. Conduct occasional training seminars. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED

  1. Bachelor's degree in web design, graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience
  2. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript mastery
  3. Experience layout out web pages inside of frameworks
  4. Proficiency in select Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Media Encoder)
  5. Ability to work on multiple projects at once with a minimum of supervision, while allocating time and resources to those projects that have highest priority
  6. Skills that apply to working professionally with a variety of people in a variety of work settings
  7. Proficiency in a server-side language (.NET, C#)
  8. Knowledge of database organization
