Position Description:

The Cedarville University School of Business Administration seeks faculty applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Finance and Economics. The Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, providing support for the Master of Business Administration program. The position requires a normal 4/4 teaching load. Primary responsibilities include teaching Finance classes associated with the student-managed investment fund. Additional responsibilities may include teaching Economics courses as needed, in addition to core business classes.

Cedarville University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Library Science to serve as a Health Sciences Librarian.  This position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position within the University’s Centennial Library reporting to the Director of Library Public Services. Possessing a health sciences education along with a library degree, the Health Sciences Librarian will contribute to the development and delivery of library instruction services, research and information services, and individual research assistance, with special focus on undergraduate and graduate nursing, pharmacy, kinesiology and allied health, psychology, and social work students and faculty. 

The Health Sciences Librarian will provide expert and innovative research support to students and faculty in the health sciences programs and will work with faculty to deliver an effective information literacy instruction strategy.   • Meet with individual families when scheduled and provide financial aid information and counseling
  • Provide financial aid presentations for campus events and at schools as requested.

  • Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Escalates unresolved incidents. Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents. Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures.
  • Applies tools, techniques and processes to track, log and correct information related to configuration items. Verifies and approves changes ensuring protection of assets and components from unauthorized change, diversion and inappropriate use. Ensures that users comply with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases and templates. Performs audits to check the accuracy of information and undertakes any necessary corrective action under direction.
  • Assists in investigation and resolution of network problems. Assists with specified maintenance procedures.
  • Investigates problems in systems, processes and services. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in installation and maintenance of computers and related equipment (or an aptitude for such work)
  • Basic working knowledge of computer operation (OS & hardware)
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn thorough diagnostic and repair techniques

Staff: Physical Plant - General Maintenance Technician

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a General Maintenance Technician. This is a full-time, 12 month (2080), non-exempt position. Thepurpose of this position is to perform general maintenance and repair/renovation work in the administrative and residence halls. This position has been designated as emergency essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform general maintenance repairs in all administrative and residence halls.  General maintenance includes – but not reserved to:

  • Framing, hanging/finishing drywall
  • Exterior finishes – windows, doors, roofing, siding
  • Interior finishes – painting, trim work, cabinetry/countertops

Installation of:

  • Acoustic ceilings
  • Ceramic tile (walls)
  • Flooring – carpet, tile, VCT

Responsible to research and create material orders for supplies needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school degree or GED.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in general maintenance work and five (5) years of experience in finish carpentry.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
