Engineering Day Open To High Schoolers

Cedarville, Ohio—High school students (public, private, and home-school) from the Dayton area can experience engineering firsthand at Cedarville University’s annual Engineering Day, Saturday, Feb. 24. Visiting students can attend the presentation “Introduction to Cedarville University Engineering” at 12:30 p.m. in Engineering, Nursing, Science Center Room 245. From 2-4 p.m., engineering demonstrations and interaction with University students and faculty will take place in the department’s laboratories. Sessions on women in engineering (3-3:30 p.m. in Room 242) and Q&A with Cedarville engineering graduates (4-5 p.m. in Room 245) will offer a helpful perspective on the engineering profession. Visitors are encouraged to tour Cedarville’s outstanding engineering facilities: the wind tunnel, materials lab, heat transfer and instrumentaton lab, CAD and CNC manufacturing lab, engine test cell, digital design lab, electronics and communications lab, electrical machines and control lab, and senior electrical and mechanical design laboratories.
