Cedarville, OhioThe Cedarville University Concert Chorale and Men`s Glee Club will present a joint concert on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville campus. The concert begins with the men`s glee club singing religious works such as "The God Who Gave Us Life" (from Thompson`s TESTAMENT OF FREEDOM), "Down in the Valley" (a Kentucky folk song), "Psalm 40," "Rejoice Ye Pure in Heart," and "Walk in Jerusalem." The concert chorale`s portion of the program will include "The Echo Song," "Lacrymosa" (from Mozart`s REQUIEM), "The Herding Song" (an eastern Mongolian folk song sung in Chinese), "Sanctus" (from Fauré`s REQUIEM), and four selections from Brahms` "Liebeslieder Waltzes." Both groups are conducted by Dr. Lyle Anderson, professor of music and a Cedarville resident. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, call 937-766-7728.
