Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville University junior Mary Lyle was recently selected as the national student representative to the board of directors of the North American Association of Christians in Social Work (NACSW). A social work major from Newark, Ohio, Lyle will serve a two-year term. As the student voice on the board, Lyle represents one-third of NACSW’s membership at the board’s biannual meetings. She offers a student perspective on topics such as strategic planning, convention details, fundraising, and program improvements and additions. She also sits on the Programs and Membership Services committee and is currently organizing a network of students with whom she can discuss board programs and benefits. NACSW promotes love and justice in social service and reform; its mission is to help its members, the social work profession, and the church integrate Christian faith and professional social work.
