Cedarville University Professor Emeritus Named Alumnus of the Year

Cedarville, Ohio—Baptist Bible College & Seminary of Clarks Summit, Pa. (BBC&S), has named Dr. Robert Gromacki, Cedarville University Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Bible and Greek, its 2001 Alumnus of the Year. Gromacki graduated from BBC&S in 1956 with a bachelor of theology degree. He earned his master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1960 and a doctor of theology degree from Grace Theological Seminary in 1966. He joined the Cedarville faculty in 1960. Gromacki was cited by his alma mater as a versatile and gifted teacher, writer, and pastor. He has published 15 books and written numerous articles, Sunday school materials, and training aids. He founded and pastors the Grace Community Baptist Church in Washington Court House, Ohio. Gromacki has received numerous awards during his tenure at Cedarville, including Distinguished Educator, Faculty Member of the Year, and Honorary Alumnus of the Year. In 1985 he received the Outstanding Service Award in Education from BBC&S. Gromacki and his wife Gloria (also a BBC&S graduate) have two grown children and six grandchildren. Their son, Gary, is a professor of Bible at BBC&S.
