Jim Bowers, husband of missionary Veronica Bowers, who was killed along with their infant daughter Charity when the Peruvian military shot down their plane, will speak at Cedarville University Tuesday, March 26. Bowers' presentation will begin at 10 a.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center. Bowers is one of more than 50 missionaries representing more than 30 mission agencies who will present their work at the annual Cedarville University Missions Conference, March 25-28. Dr. Paul Nyquist, president of Gospel Missionary Union, will be the keynote speaker of the conference. He will speak at 7:30 p.m. each evening of the conference. Veronica and Charity Bowers were killed April 20, 2001 when a Peruvian air force jet mistakenly shot down their small plane, thinking their plane was smuggling illegal drugs. Also injured was the pilot of the plane, Kevin Donaldson. The incident took place near the town of Pebas in northern Peru. For more information about the Missions Conference, call 937-766-7808.
