Cedarville, Ohio—Dr. Paige Patterson, president of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS), will speak at the Cedarville University Dixon Ministry Center Thursday, January 24 at 10 a.m. A native Texan, Patterson began preaching at 14 and was ordained at 16. He went on to receive a B.A. from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, and Th.M. and Th.D. degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. In his many years of ministry, Patterson has preached in revivals, crusades, and mission projects throughout the United States and around the world, visiting more than 65 countries. He has served as a pastor in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas and has rendered service to Southern Baptists on associational, state, and national levels, including serving as president of the 16 million member Southern Baptist Convention from 1998 to 2000.
