Cedarville, Ohio—Political reporter and columnist Fred Barnes will speak at Cedarville University on Tuesday, April 9 at 10 a.m. in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center. Barnes will offer a question and answer session on “Journalism and Media” at 1 p.m. in the Stevens Student Center Theater. Currently a fixture on Fox News as one of “The Beltway Boys,” Barnes has appeared on “Meet the Press,” “Nightline,” and “Face the Nation.” He also serves as editor of “The Weekly Standard,” a conservative opinion magazine. Barnes has been called “a trendsetter … one of Washington’s most prominent pundits” by “Insight” magazine. Barnes’ visit to campus is sponsored by The Miriam Maddox Forum—a Cedarville University communication arts alumni society which fosters the development of Christian communicators in the public forum.
