CU Faculty Member to Give Trumpet Performance

Cedarville, Ohio—Charles Pagnard will give a trumpet recital titled "Night Songs" on Friday, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville campus. Pagnard will perform various works, including "Night Songs" by Richard Peaslee, "Sonata" by Paul Hindemith, "Two Portraits for Trumpet" by Joseph Turrin, and "Casta Diva" from the opera NORMA by Bellini. Pagnard is a professor of music at Cedarville University. He holds a B.M. from Bowling Green State University and a M.M. from Eastman School of Music. He has studied under Richard Jones, Edwin Betts, and Ettore Chiudioni and has done graduate work at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is also the principal trumpet player of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and a member of the Carillon Brass Quintet. Pagnard resides in Centerville.
