Cedarville Resident Named New Chair of CU Dept. of Business Administration

Cedarville, Ohio—Cedarville resident Dr. Ron Walker has been named chair of the department of business administration at Cedarville University. In his new role, Walker will manage a department which serves a current enrollment of 400 students. The department offers majors in accounting, finance, international studies: global economics and international business, management, management information systems, and marketing. Walker had been serving as acting chair of the department since January 2003, when Department Chair Marinus Hazen passed away unexpectedly. Prior to that, Walker taught at Cedarville as a professor of management science and, from 1986 to1993, served as chair of the department of business administration. He has been at the University since 1978. Walker holds a B.S. from Bowling Green State University, a M.S. from the University of Michigan, and a D.B.A. from Kent State University. He has led Cedarville University missions trips to the Philippines and Germany and is a member of the Christian Business Faculty Association, the Decision Science Institute, and the Institute of Operations Research and Management Sciences.
