Cedarville, Ohio — Cedarville University will host 2,000 third through sixth-graders and 500 adult sponsors at its biannual Junior Jam event on Saturday, April 5. The fun starts at 9 a.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center on the Cedarville University campus. Guests are expected from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Junior Jam uses games, hands-on activities, and opening and closing rallies to teach biblical principles in a fun way. This year`s theme is "The Great Escape: Make a Run for It." Games will include "Who`s Lyin` Anyway," which will promote "running" from lying to truthfulness through a Jeopardy!®-style quiz, as well as "Crash of Criticism," which will teach about "running" from anger to self-control through a life-size version of Jenga®. Also, David Hennig, a professional illusionist, will be performing throughout the day. Adult sponsors may attend ministry workshops led by Cedarville University staff, students, and ministry partners. Sessions will include "Using Drama in Your Children`s Ministry," "Object Lessons that Reach and Teach Kids," and "Puppetry Perspectives."
