Future Cedarville President to Speak at Staley Lecture Series

Cedarville, Ohio—Dr. William Brown, president-elect of Cedarville University, will be the guest speaker for the Staley Distinguished Christian Scholar Lecture Program at Cedarville University Feb. 11-13. Brown will speak at 10 a.m. each morning in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center. Brown, who is well-known for his expertise on worldview, most recently served as president of William Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn. Prior to becoming president in 1992, Brown also served the college as an assistant professor for biblical studies and academic vice president and provost. Brown is a prolific author. He has written three books, "Making Sense of Your Faith" (Victor Books); "Where Have All the Dreamers Gone?: Observations from a Biblical Worldview" (College Press); and "Making Sense of Your World" (with Gary Phillips, jointly published by Moody Press and Sheffield Press). Additionally, Brown has authored more than a hundred articles for journals, magazines, newspapers, and encyclopedias. A regular columnist for "World" magazine, he holds memberships in organizations such as the Society of Christian Philosophers, the Evangelical Philosophical Society, and the Evangelical Theological Society. Brown earned his undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida. He holds a master of theology degree and a Ph.D. from Dallas Theological Seminary.
