Switchfoot Coming to Cedarville University

Cedarville, Ohio—The eclectic Christian band Switchfoot will be in concert at Cedarville University on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. The concert will take place in the Jeremiah Chapel of the Dixon Ministry Center. Switchfoot is known for its introspective lyrics and versatile style, a style which ranges from rock to alternative to pop. With hit songs such as "Meant to Live," "Only Hope," "You Already Take Me There," and "Learning to Breathe," the group has had its music used on TV shows such as "Dawson`s Creek," "Felicity," and MTV`s "Tough Enough." Switchfoot also provided five songs for the Mandy Moore film "A Walk to Remember." The group`s latest album, "The Beautiful Letdown," made the Billboard charts soon after its release. Their 2001 album, "Learning to Breathe," was nominated for a Grammy, and the group has received five Dove Award nominations. In recent years, Switchfoot has received ASCAP San Diego Music Awards in the "Best New Artist," "Best Pop Album," "Best Pop Artist," and "Best Adult Alternative" categories. Tickets are $8.
