Cedarville University Professor Selected for Cambridge Fellowship

Cedarville, Ohio-Dr. Dan Estes, associate academic vice president and professor of Bible at Cedarville University, has been elected to a Visiting Fellowship at the University of Cambridge (England). Estes will assume his position as Fellow at Clare Hall for the Jan.-June 2005 period. While in Cambridge, Estes plans to focus his research and writing on the Old Testament poetic literature. Fellows are distinguished academics from universities in all parts of the world who visit Cambridge for a period of study leave. About 40 scholars are chosen each year, based on scholarly references, personal statement of qualifications, and proposed research topic. Estes stated, "I`m excited about this opportunity for reflection, study, and intellectual stimulation." Estes earned his undergraduate degree from Cedarville University. He holds a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. He has been on the Cedarville faculty since 1984. -30-
